Many of us know the bad or even lethal effects of chocolate on dogs, but do not know that onions can be lethal. This includes all the colors of onion, garlic, and leek. Besides this baby foods can be toxic to your dog as they may contain onion powder. In addition cooked fish is harmful as it destroys vitamin B1 and its bones can get caught in the throat and cause death.
Harms of onion for your dog:
If a dog eats a large amount of onions at one time, sudden anemia may occur after a few days. If the dog eats a small amount of onion for many days in a row, it will gradually develop anemia over weeks or months.
If you accidentally give your dog a food containing onions or onions, here are some things to do:
Symptoms of onion poisoning are the same as anemia and low oxygen in the body; weakness(especially after training) , red urine, low energy, pale or bluish gums … While onion poisoning is not a common cause of these symptoms, consider it when you see it.
